Starting in March 2019, I worked with Michael Huggins creating digital and print content to strategize and build his following as a public speaker, author and business consultant.
In April 2020, we launched a rebranded website to build his library of resources for business engagements and community programs and speaking opportunities. The website features his appearances in published articles as well as on podcasts and radio shows.
We also developed a monthly social media marketing plan sharing original quote graphics and videos, and community engagements. While most content shifted to digital platforms, we worked on building a plan for outreach in business, yoga and mindfulness communities to share his content with the world.
Going Om Book Launch
In January 2020, Mike Huggins released the second edition of his book Going Om: A CEO's Self-Discovery Behind Bars, which went on to become an Amazon #1 Best Seller.
"A behind-the-scenes look at life in a men’s correctional facility, complete with alarming and surprisingly funny stories. Mike Huggins shares letters he had written from inside, lessons he had learned along the way, and how he discovered his true calling and ultimate sense of purpose."
Becoming the top best seller on Amazon was the main goal of the campaign, and this success came from our strategy to use organic and paid social media, create a book website, and build audience awareness through an email campaign leading up to the launch day and providing a peek into the new content featured in this edition.
During its first 30 days, Going Om consistently stayed in the Top 50 best selling books, and readers still share their reviews to this day – the book was even featured in the Midwest Book Review's April 2020 Review.
This campaign also connected Huggins with many podcasts, radio shows and publications that featured him sharing his story leading to founding Transformation Yoga Project.
